FAQs

We sleep two people in one queen sized Koala bed with plush linens. We also have a small bathroom with a step-in shower. Everything is private, and you aren’t sharing with anyone else.
We recommend at least 3 months to secure available dates for your planned trip.
Getting to Kirra could not be easier!
Air Travel: Gold Coast Airport (OOL) is literally walking distance way with zero air traffic noise (woohoo!) and Brisbane Airport (BNE) is about an hour's drive north of us. We are easy to find on GPS and you can drive or take a shuttle (we recommend Con-X-ion) from BNE to The Kirra Abode.
Car Travel: Kirra is located on the north end of Coolangatta and is accessible by car, (we offer free garage parking!) and bus, (a stop is right across the road from us).
Don't have a car? Don't worry. Walk, shuttle, taxi or Uber over from the airport and everything you need is within walking distance when you get here.
We LOVE pets, but our body corporate doesn’t. Agonising, we know! We keep bringing it up at every annual meeting and we hope one day they’ll buckle and give us permission to host pets — but for now it’s a no. We’re sorry!
This is a private artist residency where you are welcome to come and soak up the inspiration of The Kirra Abode and surrounds, and let it influence your work as an artist. If you’re looking to join a class, we can help arrange pottery and art workshops from local teachers at an additional expenses from your stay.
